The invite comes after an appeal by the school last year urging all former students to attend a meeting to discuss forming a former pupils’ association.

“In September 2015 a meeting was held in Limavady Grammar School with a view to reforming the school’s Former Pupils’ Association,” explained a Limavady Grammar spokesperson.

“Around 60 people attended and enjoyed each other’s company, while having a tour of the school and looking at old photographs.”

On that night, a steering group was formed, chaired by Lexie Scott (Head Boy 1975).

The group has sinceworked hard and is now inviting all former pupils to an inaugural meeting of Limavady Grammar School Former Pupils’ Association to be held in the school on Thursday March 3, at 7.30 pm.

Mrs J Allen, an active member in Ballymena Academy Former Pupils’ Association, will speak.

The spokesperson said it’s a chance for past pupils to share memories.

“This is a great opportunity for former pupils to get together, renew old friendships, look back with nostalgia on their school days and collectively work to support the school,” said a spokesperson.
