Man in court on murder charge
Samuel Clarke, Magherahane, Raphoe is charged with the murder of Seamus Doherty, at Drumacanoo, Churchill between June 16th and 17th, 2012. Inspector Pat O’Donnell told the court he arrested Clarke at 8.55pm on January 13th and conveyed him to Letterkenny Garda Station.
Solicitor Donagh Cleary said that give the nature of the charge there would be no application for bail but did apply for legal aid.

Hide AdHe said his client was a small farmer who was renting the farm to his son.
Garda Inspector David Murphy said there would be no Garda objection to the legal aid application.
He applied for Clarke to be remanded in custody to appear at Harristown District Court on Friday.
Mr Cleary said Clarke was on medication for a number of complaints and Judge James Faughan directed he receives all medical attention in custody.
He remanded Clarke to Harristown District on Friday.
