Man shot after gunmen force their way into house in Derry

Shortly after 11pm it was reported two men forced their way into a house in the Currynierin area of the Waterside and shot a man several times in the legs.

The man is currently receiving treatment for his wounds in n hospital.

Police have launched an investigation and anyone with information that could assist detectives at Strand Road is asked to telephone 101 quoting reference number 2083 15/04/21.

Earlier this week gunmen shot a man in both legs Bogside area of the city.
