Woman sent a threatening letter

Olive McNeill, of Stevenson Park, Tullyally, pleaded guilty to sending an article conveying a threat.

The offence was committed between August 3 and August 19, 2014.

Defence solicitor Kerry Connolly claimed the case stemmed from an incident where the 52-year-old’s dog was ‘tortured’.

District Judge Barney McElholm adjourned sentencing until March 11 for a probation pre-sentence report.

He said if McNeill was making counter allegations they will require proof.
