Durkan welcomes Rosemount clean sweep
Following a recent request, Mr Durkan welcomed the work undertaken by Teamworks to clean up the laneways in Glasgow St, Hawthorne Street and Marlborough Street.
Mr Durkan said: “I very much welcome the efforts and time taken by Teamworks in helping to create a more pleasant and clean area for the residents of these streets.

Hide Ad“The issue was brought to my attention when I was conducting a walkabout of the area where I was able to pinpoint the areas which needed immediate attention.
“Unfortunately, Council are not responsible, nor do they have the resources to continuously deal with this blight on our neighbourhoods, therefore the work these organisations carry out is invaluable.
“Dumping in any area of the City is unacceptable as most people want to live in a clean, safe environment. I would urge if anyone witnesses illegal dumping of household or bulky waste to report it immediately as dealing with the aftermath is an added and needless strain to the ratepayer.”
