Minister working to resolve issues around Triangle repair scheme: MLAs

Residents of the Triangle area of the Waterside are anxious to see work commence on a long-awaited renovation programme to their homes, according to the Foyle MLAs Martina Anderson and Karen Mullan.

They recently met Communities Minister Carál Ní Chuilín to check on the progress regarding repairs to homes on Clooney Terrace, Dungiven Road and Duddy’s Court.

Ms. Anderson said: “Back in July Minster Ní Chuilín took time to visit residents in the Triangle area to hear their concerns over delays to this work. This is a situation the Minister has inherited, and local Councillor Christopher Jackson has been working on this for many years to try and find a resolution to this issue.

“That’s why we felt it was important to meet the Minister again to see what progress has been made to ensure that we get this much needed repair scheme sorted once and for all. Residents just want the work done so I hope all parties can work collectively to get this resolved as speedily as possible and I will endeavour to do all I can to make this happen.”
