The whole of Ireland will be bathed in sunshine on Thursday as summer arrives early.

Met Eireann has said that for those living in the north west tomorrow “will be dry and sunny with light to moderate southeasterly breezes”.

The Irish meteorological service added that for Ulster the “highest temperatures will range between 22 and 26 degrees.”

The Met Office in the UK meanwhile has forecast temperatures of 24 degrees Celsius for Derry City tomorrow, with the warm weather at its peak from lunch-time on.

However people have been urged to be mindful of the travel restrictions in place, and to maintain social distancing.
Caution has also been urged in relation to high UV levels, so it might be an idea to hunt out the sunscreen to protect your skin.

And the good weather looks set to continue into the weekend and beyond, with more sun forecast and temperatures continuing to hover above 20 degrees in the day time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with not a drop of rain in sight... at least until next week.
