'˜I'll never forget this night in Lille'
Ireland had to win if they were to progress and win they did when Robbie Brady headed home a majestic Wes Hoolohan pass in the 85th minute.
Derry City F.C. Director, Martin Mullen was at the game with his son Barry and friend Redmond McFadden.

Hide Ad“I am so happy that I was in Lille for that match - it was an experience I will never forget,” said Martin.
The television camera zoomed in on Martin, Barry and Redmond during the match, beaming their faces to millions around the world.
“I believe we were on TV,” said Martin. “I received 79 texts when it happened - I can’t wait to see the clip.”
Martin said one of the things that has impressed him the most is how the French have received the Ireland fans.

Hide Ad“We were in the FanZone in Paris the day before the match and the atmosphere was amazing.
“The French love the Irish - I think some of them might even cheer us on against France on Sunday,” he laughed.
Niall Moyne, from Woodbrook West, was also one of the lucky ones to witness the magical 1-0 victory over the Italians.
Niall has travelled the world supporting the ‘Boys In Green’ and hasn’t missed a home or an away game in years.
