Margaret Thatcher named most influential woman of last 70 years
Thatcher, who was U.K. Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990, was viewed as a divisive figure in the north of Ireland.
At the time of her death in April 2013, Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams, accused Thatcher of making the north of Ireland a more bitter place.

People in Derry took to the streets and celebrated Margaret Thatcher’s death in 2013.
The list of influential women was decided by a panel of seven women, including businesswoman Karren Brady, screenwriter Abi Morgan, former Women’s Hour editor Jill Burridge, and Julia Hobsbawm, the founder of Editorial Intelligence. It was chaired by the journalist Emma Barnett.
