Methodist Mission announce schools competition

The competition is open to all post-primary schools and colleges in the north west region, and community and voluntary sector organisations providing education opportunities in creative subjects and industries.

The winning designer/ design team will receive gift Vouchers to the value of £200 (1st Prize) sponsored by Foyleside Shopping Centre, £100 (2nd Prize) £50 (3rd Prize) sponsored by NWMM.

The winners will spend time with an independent graphic designer in a local studio making minor adjustments or developments to enable the design to be print ready.

NWMM has been providing services to Homeless Men in the city for 80 years and prides itself on helping service users help themselves.

The winning school or organisation will receive a prize to the value of £500 sponsored by the MediCare Pharmacy group.

A spokesman for the initiative said: “Rather than simply approach a graphic design company, we would like to take the opportunity this piece of work presents, to tap into the energy and fresh thinking of our young people across the North West and so we have launched a competition which will do just that.

“We would like to thank our principle sponsors the MediCare Pharmacy group for their very kind contribution and also the Foyleside Shopping Centre and IPrint Design for their support also.”
