'˜Miracle no one was killed'

A male motorist escaped uninjured after the car he was driving overturned onto a grass verge on Creggan Road on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 7.30p.m., no other vehicles were involved and there were no reports of any injuries.

PSNI officers attended the scene.

There were short traffic delays.

One woman who came upon the overturned car shortly after the incident had occurred said she couldn’t believe the man escaped uninjured.

“I was out walking my dog and when I went to walk down the ‘By-wash’ I saw a car lying on its back - it’s a miracle that no one was killed.

“The weather was really good on Sunday - there was a lot of people out walking in the sun, the car could have hit someone. I am just glad no one was hurt.”

Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
