The front man, who won a host of medals during his Candy Stripes career, goes for a traditional 4-4-2 formation, so here's his best 11 players he played with at the Brandywell and the reasons why....
1. David Forde
David Forde (Goalkeeper): Fordie was an absolute monster of a keeper. I think me and him had a one-two connection, which was never seen before. Every time he caught the ball and I was available, he found me. He was an unbelievable keeper, who also represented his country, which did not surprise me.
2. Eamon Doherty
Eamon Doherty (Right-Back): Doc came the season after we won the league and the League of Ireland was built around athletes and win, lose or draw Eamon would always give 100 per cent. He was always last man standing for me and you knew that he would be up for any battle.
3. Sean Hargan
Sean Hargan (Left-Back): Hargy was like a James Milner type player, as he could play anywhere. He scored some memorable and important goals for Derry. You just knew when he was playing that he could pull something out of the bag, like his goal in Gothenburg. I did not enjoy his throw-in's, as he used to throw them at my neck.
4. Peter Hutton
Peter Hutton (Centre-Back): Pizza was another Mr Versatile. When I first played with him he was a centre-midfielder and he actually got better when he went back as a sweeper for us in his latter years. He read the game so well and had an unbelievable attitude, who was always up for the fight.
