Boat aground on the Madam's Bank mudflat on River Foyle in Derry
Walkers and cyclists enjoying a jaunt along the River Foyle at the Bay Road nature reserve were greeted with the unusual sight of a boat grounded on the mudflats waiting to be lifted by the rising tide.
The boat appears to have grounded on the mud at Madam's Bank from the deeper Rosses Bay channel between the city centre and Foyle Bridge.
It's unclear what caused the boat to end up in the mud and whether it was there by accident or design but it's likely the incoming tide will soon float the vessel again.
