Death toll rises to 1,747 as 74 people fight for their lives in ICU

Another 17 people have died after being diagnosed with COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

That brings the death toll here to 1,747.

The Department of Health (DoH) dashboard report that five of the deaths took place outside the 24-hour period.

The latest DoH dashboard reveals that there are now 828 people in NI hospitals with Coronavirus.

And there are 74 people with the virus in ICU.

Meanwhile another 422 people have been confirmed as having the virus in the last 24 hours.

That number rises to 4,921 people testing positive in the last seven days.

And there are now 135 patients with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NI care Homes.
