Derry Strand Road Centra Moran's named as one of Musgrave NI’s top fundraising stores
Moran’s Centra Strand Road has been recognised as one of Northern Ireland’s top‑fundraising Centra stores after raising more than £3,300 for Action Cancer last year.
The store raised £3,309 in 2025, supporting Centra and SuperValu’s charity partner Action Cancer, helping to keep its Big Bus on the road and enabling the delivery of accessible breast screening and skin cancer detection services, plus health checks across Northern Ireland. In 2025, the Big Bus visited 130 communities, carrying out 2,226 mammograms, 1,016 health checks and 230 skin cancer assessments.

Working collectively, we’ve raised a record‑breaking £253,000 in 2025 to support our charity partner, Action Cancer, in their work to deliver vital preventative detection services to communities across Northern Ireland.”
Centra Strand Road is one of three North West stores operated by the Moran family, who have also been recognised for their fundraising success at their Centra Coleraine location, raising £2,529 in 2025 for Action Cancer.
Last year Moran’s on the Strand Road was recognised as one of the best in the UK, when it was awarded the Food-to-Go Retailer of the Year (over 3,001 sq ft group), at the 2025 Retail Industry Awards in London.
