Police searching Derry forest

Police investigating dissident republican activity are searching a forest on the outskirts of Derry.

The search is taking place in a forest near Claudy.

"Detectives from PSNI's Serious Crime Branch are conducting searches in Learmount Forest Park in Claudy, Co Derry today (Tuesday August 15) in relation to ongoing investigations into dissident republican activity," said a PSNI spokesperson.
