Taxi fares update
There's been some confusion on new rules regarding taxi meters and new fare structures.
In an earlier story we referred to a new charging scheme for certain taxi journeys under new rules coming into force on October 1.
In our story we referred to a new minimum charge, however, this should have read as a new initial maximum charge.
It is important to stress these are the maximum fares companies can charge but can charge less if they wish.
