SDLP Colr John Deighan said he will be asking Council to explore the possibility of extra security measures at the facility. He also said he’s witnessed the aftermath of antisocial behaviour at the park, including empty beer bottles lying on the ground and underwear left on equipment.
Colr. Deighan acknowledged the hard work of Council to keep the park in a safe and clean state, but said perhaps the gate into the park should be locked in the evenings.
“People are fed up talking about it,” he said.
