Ulster University is proud to play a part in the North West’s journey — supporting communities, fostering creativity, and nurturing local talent. As part of the fabric of the city, the university is committed to working alongside its people to help shape a positive future for the region.

Ulster University’s partnership with the Glen Development Initiative is helping to support a range of individuals and groups of all ages; providing much needed educational support, childcare, youth activities and a safe shared space for all, which Adrian Kelly, Community Worker at Glen Development Initiative says, has a ‘direct impact on lives’.

The Glen Development is part of a wider range of activities and initiatives that Ulster University and The Department for Economy are delivering across the North West region. As the UK and Ireland University of the Year (Times Higher Education, 2024), the University continues to collaborate with a range of local community, educational and sports groups as well as supporting wider events to deliver a destination campus in a destination city.
