Everton's Seamus Coleman celebrates first baby


The Everton defender married teenage sweetheart Rachel Cunningham in June 2015 after 15 years together.
And overnight Rachel gave birth to the couple’s first child.

Hide AdSurrounded by teammates, Coleman, from Killybegs, celebrated his goal against Stole City by going down on one knee and making a rocking motion with his arms.


After the celebration, the official Everton twitter site explained: “If you’re wondering about Seamus’ celebration - congratulations to the Coleman family on their new overnight arrival - a baby girl!”
Coleman’s goal was one of three scored by the Toffees in their second win on the bounce and again they kept a clean sheet.
Since taking over from the injured and under-fire Tim Howard, goalkeeper Joel Robles has kept two clean sheets in the Premier League - a rarity for the side this season.

Hide AdThat run has also coincided with the absence of £50m defender John Stones, who while regarded as potentially one of the best English central defenders ever, has unnerved fans with a series of expensive mistakes.


Everton’s 3-0 vitory at the Britannia Stadium today showed a side growing in confidence, after beating Newcastle United by a similar scoreline in mid-week.
Romelu Lukaku and Aaron Lennon were the other goal scorers against Stoke City.
