Molloy, who won a host of medals during his Candy Stripes career, goes for a traditional 4-4-2 system, so here's his best 11 players he played with at the Brandywell and the reasons why....
5. Darren Kelly
Darren Kelly (Centre-Back): Just an out and out defender. Loved to head the ball and was a dream to have him behind me for a few years. You could walk away from high balls knowing he was going to deal with it. The impact he made in 2006 was unreal and was a huge part in us nearly securing a second treble.
6. Kevin Deery
Kevin Deery (Centre-Midfielder): Deerso was an all round midfielder who could tackle, head, pass and score the odd wonder goal. Very unlucky with injuries at Derry. Good reader and knowledge of the game. Great will to win in training and in matches.
7. Ciaran Martyn
Ciaran Martyn (Centre-Midfielder): One of the best goalscoring midfielders I played with and we managed to form a good partnership for a few years at Derry. At times he probably made me look a better player. Superb box to box midfielder who scored some great goals.
8. Patrick McEleney
Patrick McEleney (Right-Winger): Seriously talented footballer who took the First Division by storm when he was 16/17. I remember an effort he hit against Shelbourne in the First Division, he probably was 35 yards out with his bad foot and I just thought WOW'. Fats was another one who has been unlucky with injuries, but what a talent.
