Molloy, who won a host of medals during his Candy Stripes career, goes for a traditional 4-4-2 system, so here's his best 11 players he played with at the Brandywell and the reasons why....
9. Paddy McCourt
Paddy McCourt (Left-Winger): He was top class and just a joy to play with. Give the ball to Paddy anywhere at anytime in a game and he would make something happen. His debut for Derry was a joy to watch and even watching him in training you were constantly in awe of what he could do. No one could get near him when he was on form. He ripped Derry to shreds for Shamrock Rovers at the Brandywell, before we signed him.
10. Gary Beckett
Gary Beckett (Striker): One of the best footballers I have played with. Made our Derry team tick. Could see things two or three steps ahead. Formed an unreal partnership with Mark Farren. He was not a prolific goalscorer but he set up so many goals. He was one of, if not, the first name you would have in that Derry team in 2005 and 2006 season's.
11. Mark Farren
Mark Farren (Striker): One of the hardest working forwards you could see. Stephen Kenny called him a Diamond in the rough and Mark was that. One of the best finishers I have played with. When he was played through you knew he would score. No surprise he is Derry City's all time top scorer. Him and Beckett were unstoppable together.
