McCann, won the Irish League Premier Division title with Cliftonville in the 1997/98 season.
Currently first team coach at Derry City, McCann, goes for a 4-2-1-3 formation, so here's his best 11 players he played with and the reasons why....
5. Marty Tabb
Marty Tabb (Centre-Back - Cliftonville): Tabber would have kicked his granny to get to the ball. He put his head in where you would not put your foot, he also jumped so high that he could knock out pigeons. Marty seemed to play for ever, in-fact I think he still plays.
6. Paul Hegarty
Paul Hegarty (Centre-Midfield - Derry City): If you wanted someone to sort out the bull ring, he is your man. The what if man, winning was not just important, it was the only thing that mattered.
7. Peter Hutton
Peter Hutton (Centre-midfield - Derry City): Pizza never took touches he didnt need. Always arrived at the right place at the right time, whether it was to make a last ditch tackle or to finish off an attack. Very unselfish player for the team.
8. Felix Healy
Felix Healy (Freedom to play where he wants - Derry City): Could cope playing in any company, had a solution for every situation on the pitch. He seemed to see the big picture, way ahead of any body else. He didnt play in games, he dictated them. Felix was a class act.
