McCann, won the Irish League Premier Division title with Cliftonville in the 1997/98 season.
Currently first team coach at Derry City, McCann, goes for a 4-2-1-3 formation, so here's his best 11 players he played with and the reasons why....
9. Paul Carlyle
Paul Carlyle (Right Forward - Derry City): I got dropped for a League Cup final on New Years Day for Paul, he had not played for about two months, it is the only time I was not that disappointed, he was that good. He must have been if Liverpool and Man United invited him over for a trial, around that time. It came so natural to him, think it is in the blood.
10. Jonathan Speak
Jonathan Speak (Centre-Forward - Derry City & Finn Harps): Diamonds come in different sizes and he is definitely one, on and off the pitch. Johnny scored over 100 goals in both Irish League and League of Ireland. He was a post man, perfect job for him because he always delivered.
11. Liam Coyle
Liam Coyle (Left Side Forward - Derry City): Liam liked to drift out on the left and cut in, so Im sure he would not mind playing out there to get Speakie in the team. He could turn you inside out in a phone box. Simply the best.
12. Mickey Donnelly
Mickey Donnelly (Substitute - Cliftonville): One club man and a Cliftonville legend. Whether it was Limavady or Windsor you new what you where getting from Mickey. I could not have been happier when I seen him lift the league title.
