Created and performed by former head of the Late Late Show House Band Paddy Cullivan, the ’10 Dark Secrets of 1798’ is inspired by the American and French Revolutions of the late-18th Century.

A historical drama of ‘Game of Thrones’ proportions, bringing a staggering array of characters to life, the show will come to The Playhouse on Saturday, March 7.

Paddy Cullivan is a satirist, comedian, writer, speaker, MC, multi-instrumentalist musician and singer. He was head of the Late Late Show House Band, the Camembert Quartet, and is known for his writing and performances on Radio and Television with Oliver Callan on ‘Callan’s Kicks’ and for Joe Duffy’s Funny Friday. He has scripted and MC’d awards ceremonies and high-end Corporate events and regularly performs with economist David McWilliams as part of the Leviathan Political Cabaret in New York, London and Dublin.

His latest venture, ‘10 Dark Secrets of 1798’ is described as “an incredible insight into what really happened” by comedian Alan Shortt and ‘Fantastic… Funny, poignant” by journalist Edel O’Connell.

Lord Edward Fitzgerald and Napper Tandy - George Washington, The ‘Mad King’ George III and Napoleon Bonaparte all feature.

“Derry also features in the show - after the massive naval battle of Tory Island, Wolfe Tone was imprisoned in Derry on his way to his ill-fated trial in Dublin,” Paddy said.
