Derry’s Blue Canvas launches UK Trade Jobs for learners, jobseekers and employers
Blue Canvas, the Derry-based AI consultancy and product studio, has launched UK Trade Jobs, an online platform bringing together trade vacancies, apprenticeship information and practical career and training guides for people.
Built in Derry, the platform is designed for learners taking their first steps into a trade, adults considering a career change, experienced tradespeople looking for work and employers recruiting staff.
Jobseekers can search vacancies by trade and location, explore pay and career guides, and use a free trade CV builder to prepare applications. The site covers trades including electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying, welding and heating.
For learners, its training guides bring together information on qualifications, entry routes, course choices and funding. A training-provider directory helps users find colleges and providers, with links to check current courses and requirements directly.
The apprenticeship section provides access to England’s official vacancy search and signposts the separate official services for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Supporting guides explain how to approach applications, prepare a CV and consider routes into a trade.
Employers can advertise trade vacancies and use a guided apprentice advert builder. Colleges and training providers can also use the site as a careers resource, helping learners move from researching a course to exploring work and preparing an application.
UK Trade Jobs brings these resources together so people can consider training alongside the jobs and skills employers are advertising.
