2,000 seats being replaced by Derry City FC at Southend Stand in the Brandywell

Work has begun on the replacement of 2,000 seats in the Southend Stand in the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, Derry City FC have announced.

Derry city & Strabane District Council approved the works earlier this year.

Replacements are necessary as a significant number of seats in the Southend Stand have reached the end of their lifespan, the club said.

Contractors started work after Derry City FC played their final home fixture of the season against Dundalk.
