Woman, aged over 80, dies with coronavirus in Derry/Strabane bringing total death toll to 80
Another person has sadly died in the Derry and Strabane area after testing positive with coronavirus.
The woman, aged over 80, died in a residential/care home setting on Monday, according to the latest data published by the Department of Health this afternoon.
Three times more people (59) have died locally since September than during the first wave of the illness (21).
Derry and Strabane has the seventh highest coronavirus death toll by local government district after Belfast (267), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (112), Antrim and Newtownabbey (98), Causeway Coast and Glens (93), Lisburn and Castlereagh (89) and Mid Ulster (89).
