Musician Sister Ghost set to fly the flag for Derry on Japan tour

Derry grunge-pop artist Shannon Delores O'Neill, also known as Sister Ghost, said she is excited to wave the Derry flag during her tour of Japan.

Sister Ghost will be playing a number of shows in Japan next month, culminating in a festival slot (chosen from 100+ worldwide applicants) at the Too Hot To Be Cool x Loud Women Festival in Shinjuku Marz Tokyo.

Speaking before the shows in Japan, Shannon said: “It’s an honor to be the first of my family tree to travel to Japan, I never in a million years thought it would happen, nevermind being invited there for my music! Myself and the band are really looking forward to it and I will be flying the flag for Derry for sure. I’d also like to acknowledge and thank the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their support via their SIAP Travel Fund.”

After turning heads with her highly praised debut album, Beyond The Water, Sister Ghost is now releasing a new live album, in time for Halloween, entitled ‘The Undead Tapes.’
