Man breached bail by drinking alcohol and travelling to Derry by bus
A man who breached his bail by entering Derry and having an alcohol reading of 183mgs, more than five times the legal limit has appeared at the local Magistrates’ Court.
Trevor Kelly (39) of Distillery Gardens in Limavady was granted bail on July 17.
A police officer told the court that police had responded to a report of a male assaulting two females and that Kelly had been arrested.
After investigation police decided Kelly was not the initial aggressor but was arrested for breaching his bail.

The court heard Kelly was on bail for six cases with 'various offences, some very serious' and part of his bail conditions was that he doesn't enter Derry or consume alcohol.
Police objected to bail stating that Kelly had 19 previous bail breaches and 98 previous convictions.
The officer said that they did not believe Kelly would abide by any conditions.
Defence counsel Stephen Chapman said the breach was accepted.
He said that his client claimed he got on a bus to Limavady but the bus took him to Derry.
The barrister said that Kelly had consumed so much alcohol he could not find his way back to Limavady.
He added that alcohol was clearly an issue for Kelly.
Deputy District Judge Trevor Browne said that the defendant was of 'high nuisance value' and had clearly consumed too much alcohol.
He granted bail with a 'clear warning' to Kelly as what would happen if he breaches again.
Kelly will appear again on August 26.
