The Creggan man has played with a host of current Premier League stars, but this line-up is just about his former Candy Stripes team-mates and next week we'll have his cross-channel/international team.
James goes for a traditional 4-4-2 system and also gives honourable mentions to Barry Molloy, Patrick McEleney and Stewart Greacen, who just missed out and would be on his bench, but here's his best 11 players he played with at Derry City and the reasons why....
5. Daniel Lafferty
Daniel Lafferty (Left-Back): Danny and myself linked up well down the left for Derry. His crossing ability was second to none (well second to me lol). He was also very athletic, getting up and down as a full-back.
6. Gareth McGlynn
Gareth McGlynn (Right-Wing): Charlie could play in a number of positions and at times in games he had to do that. Great team player and top professional.
7. Ruaidhri Higgins
Ruaidhri Higgins (Midfielder): Ruaidhri's passing from midfield was top drawer. He sat in the middle of the pitch and spread passes about like a quarter-back. Ruaidhri passion and knowledge of the game was also impressive.
8. Kevin Deery
Kevin Deery (Midfielder): Deerso's drive, determination and enthusiasmfor the game was and still is superb. Gave his all in training and hated losing, even in training.
