The Creggan man has played with a host of current Premier League stars, but this line-up is just about his former Candy Stripes team-mates and next week we'll have his cross-channel/international team.
James goes for a traditional 4-4-2 system and also gives honourable mentions to Barry Molloy, Patrick McEleney and Stewart Greacen, who just missed out and would be on his bench, but here's his best 11 players he played with at Derry City and the reasons why....
9. Niall McGinn
Niall McGinn (Left-Wing): I only played with Niall for a short period, but he was a top class player. Lightning-quick down the wing and he has carried that form onto Scotland and internationally.
10. Mark Farren
Mark Farren (Striker): Farrenso was an unbelievable finisher. He always seemed to find space inside the box and was deadly when given a chance. He was also an even better bloke off the pitch. I will never forget the night he scored the winner at Monaghan United to win the First Division.
11. Eamon Zayed
Eamon Zayed (Striker): I always tell him that he would not have finished top scorer in 2011, if it was not for me. Jokes aside, Eamon was a top class finisher, left-foot, right-foot or headers, he could do the lot. Also a great bloke off the pitch.
