With the inclement weather decimating the weekly calendar, only the Thursday Society and the Sunday Society events went ahead last week at North West Golf Club.

Thursday Society results from February 18th - 1, Bosco Reid (14) 31pts; 2, Patrick McDermott (24) 30; 3, John McCallion (21) 29.

Robbie McFadden started his Sunday Society round meekly with a point at each of his first two holes but then recovered his first nine with a total of 18 points. This was followed by a scintillating two over gross back nine for 22 points which just managed to beat Stewart McGinlay on a countback. Indeed Stewart must be wondering what it will take for him to record a win at North West as his 1 under gross of 69 and 40 points would normally take the top prize!

Results - 1, b.o.t, Robbie McFadden (13) 40pts; 2, Stewart McGinlay (3) 40; Gross, b.o.t, Sean Bridge 78; 3, Gary McLaughlin (11) 37; Back-9, Joe Rahim (16) 21.
