The Dubliner has enjoyed significant success in the League of Ireland with various clubs including most recently, Dundalk, whom he guided to four Premier Division titles, two FAI Cups and to the Europa League group stages in 2016.

5. 6th: The Rebuild
Derry City were expelled from the top flight for contract irregularities in 2009 but Kenny rebuilt the team with local players and guided the Candy Stripes to the First Division title and promotion at the first attempt.
6. 11th: Bringing Local Talent Home
Kenny was big on building a team with a spine of local talent and two of his biggest signings included the capture of Barry Molloy from Drogheda United and Paddy McCourt from Shamrock Rovers.
7. 10th: Making 'Pizza' captain
Kenny began his Derry City revolutionby appointing Peter Hutton captain and it turned out to be an inspired decision. Pizza scored in the FAI Cup Final win in 2006 and is the club's record appearance holder with 670 games.
8. 9th: FAI Cup Drama at Lansdowne
In the final game to be played at LansdowneRoad in 2006, Derry came from behind three times against St Pat's to clinch a dramatic extra-time victory for Dunfermline-bound Kenny. A magical cup final.
