A 64-year-old woman who admitted assaulting two people in a local bar has been fined at Derry Magistrates’ Court.

Sharon Casey of Ballynagard Crescent in Derry admitted two assaults that occurred on December 20, 2025.

She was then removed from the bar.

The court heard that on February 2, 2026 Casey attended for a voluntary interview with the PSNI where she made some admissions but denied the assaults.

Defence counsel Michael Donaghy told Derry Magistrates’ Court that this was a family dispute over a financial matter.

He told the court that there had been no injuries caused in the incident.

Casey was fined a total of £500.
