Charlie Stayt tells minister on BBC Breakfast: 'Your flag is just a little bit small'
There was an awkward moment on BBC Breakfast this morning, when presenter Charlie Stayt questioned the size of a flag behind Robert Jenrick

Hide AdAfter quizzing the government housing minister on expected delays to the vaccine rollout, Stayt wrapped up the interview by calling out the Union Jack visible in the background.
"Robert Jenrick, thank you, I think your flag is not up to standard size for government interview measurements," Stayt said.
"I think it's just a little bit small, but that's your department really."

Hide AdJenrick did not respond, and a few seconds of awkward silence followed, before the video call came to an end.
Co-host Naga Munchetty was heard laughing in the background and Stayt continued: "Just a thought."
When the camera returned to the BBC Breakfast studio Munchetty commented: "The picture of the queen."

Hide AdBut she was interrupted as Stayt explained his remark: "You’ll be aware, we’ve seen it [the Union Jack flag] every day."
Munchetty added: "Always a flag. They had the picture of the Queen there in the Westminster office - I’m assuming."
